About the Role:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Blast Room Operator to join our team, specializing in abrasive blasting techniques to clean the surfaces of the objects to meet the needs of the finished product. This position ensures customer satisfaction by providing safe, reliable operation of Eriez equipment that is intended to protect our customers and their customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Finish parts as specified by drawings/spec. sheets.
- De-burr work pieces with use of files, grinders, sanders, etc.
- Use filling compounds to repair surface imperfections.
- Operate sandblast and glass bead equipment.
- Operate overhead cranes to safely move work pieces.
- Use proper techniques to clean work pieces.
- Steam clean equipment/parts.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Maintain clean and safe work area.
- Complete tasks timely and efficiently in accordance with expectations as directed by supervisor.
- Able to operate tools including but not limited to, hand tools, manual machine tools, torch, drill press, etc.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in blast operations or related fields is a plus
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or blasting environment is desirable
- Understanding of safety standards and compliance protocols related to blasting operations
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects
- Strong attention to detail and quality assurance
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed

Hourly pay (starting from) : $17.45/hr.
