Associate Director, Formulation (Scientist)

HYBRID with at least 3x/office/week in Malvern, PA is REQUIRED.

Essential Duties:

• Lead and execute the development of oral and sublingual formulations for peptides and other small molecules.
• Design and optimize formulations to improve drug stability, efficacy, and delivery.
• Review and interpret scientific literature to identify new approaches and innovative formulation strategies.
• Conduct formulation testing, stability studies, and analytical method development to support product development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including process development, analytical, and manufacturing to ensure smooth project progression.
• Document and present formulation development findings and progress reports to stakeholders.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current trends, advancements, and best practices in the field of formulation science.

Requirements

• ~8 years of experience in oral formulation development, with specific expertise in sublingual formulation.
• Master’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience working with peptides is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to analyze and interpret scientific papers and apply findings to new formulation strategies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and innovative thinking in formulation design and development.
• Familiarity with cGMP and regulatory requirements is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
