We are a leading ENT and Allergy practice committed to providing high-quality and personalized care. In this role, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with allergies.
As an Allergy Nurse, you will work closely with our healthcare team to administer allergy tests, provide patient education, and assist in the development of treatment plans. You will have the opportunity to connect with patients, provide compassionate care, and empower them to manage their allergies effectively.
Responsibilities
- Administer allergy tests, including skin prick tests and intradermal tests, following established protocols and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Assist in the development of allergy treatment plans, including immunotherapy, based on patient symptoms and test results.
- Administer allergy treatments, such as subcutaneous or sublingual immunotherapy, and monitor patient responses.
- Educate patients on allergy management strategies, including allergen avoidance, medication use, and symptom control.
- Document patient medical histories, symptoms, and treatment plans accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and ensure a comprehensive approach to allergy management.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control protocols and procedures.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and stay up-to-date with advancements in allergy diagnosis and treatment.
Requirements
- Current RN license.
- Previous experience in allergy testing and treatment is preferred.
- Knowledge of allergy testing techniques and procedures, including skin prick tests and intradermal tests.
- Understanding of allergy immunotherapy administration and monitoring.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and the healthcare team.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to educate patients and their families on allergy management strategies.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
