Account Manager - Dedicated Trucking

Join our growing team at Miller Transportation Group as the Account Manager for our Miller Dedicated Services division in the Pittsburgh, PA area. Miller Transportation Group is a mid-size, rapidly growing leader in the transportation industry that has been family-owned and operated since 1912. • Miller Dedicated Services - Supports customers in outsourcing their transportation needs by providing vehicles, drivers, fuel, insurance, and overall industry expertise.
• Miller Truck Leasing – the largest privately-held truck leasing company on the East Coast. Provides full-service leasing, finance leasing, truck rental, and truck maintenance programs.

• Miller Dealerships - Provides car and light truck solutions across the Ford, Lincoln, and Subaru brands.

• Miller Brokerage Services - Provides on-demand capacity solutions through our network of reliable carriers.

The Account Manager will be will be the go-to person for the client and will supervise the day-in and day-out operation at our client location. This position is responsible for scheduling and management of 5 Non-CDL and 1 CDL A Driver on a daily basis, as well as, acting as the liaison between the client, our drivers, and the management team for Miller Dedicated Services.

Requirements

You Have:

• Prior experience managing Drivers delivering to restaurants, schools, military bases, etc.
• Experience supervising the loading of trucks for day to day deliveries in the local area.
• Experience entering detailed delivery information into appropriate software and collection of paperwork daily.
• Experience scheduling Drivers and managing the daily operations while acting as the liaison between our client, our drivers, and the MDS management team.
• The ability and willingness to fill-in for Non-CDL driver on call-outs to ensure delivery commitments are met.

You Will:

• Take responsibility for the successful day to day operations of our Dedicated Contract Carriage at client site.
• Be the Go-To person at the site for our client, drivers, and the MDS management team.
• Complete all requirements of the job with direction and support from the MDS team.
• Be capable of helping build out the operations at the site as the number of Drivers grows.
