Warehouse Technician

Summary

To prepare, mix, and ship custom vehicle paint to the highest standard in the time specified for each job. The Production Technician will use Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) established paint formulas in fulfilling customer paint orders. The job will start out between 25 - 30 hours, but could increase to 40 hours very soon.

Primary responsibilities

Production & Shipping

1. Pulling automotive paint and other inventory parts to fulfill customer orders, including but not limited to Scratchwizard and Applied Color Kits.

2. Mixing automotive paint per established OEM formulas based on customer order.

3. Printing shipping labels using online shipping software.

4. Reviewing customer orders against packing lists and verifying quantities against actual quantities ordered.

5. Assemble boxes, make spray paint and touch-up kits to make ready for shipping.

6. Dispose of hazardous material using appropriate procedures.

7. Reclaim and utilize returned materials.

Inventory Control Operations

1. Monitor the stock level in the warehouse and work with purchasing staff to replenish inventory.

2. Prepare periodic inventory documentation; accurately recording type, quantity, quality and other features of inventory for a clear understanding of the state of the stocks.

3. Ensure merchandise received match purchase order specifications.

4. Stock new inventories upon receipt from vendors in proper locations. Give packing list to Purchasing.

5. Carry out inventory control (cycle counting) to ensure inventories are at optimal levels.

6. Ensure that inventories are constantly up to quality standards.

General warehouse functions

1. Assist in general warehouse upkeep to be assigned. Keep workstation clean and free of spills.

2. To comply at all times with Company policies and instructions on all relevant subjects, including general health & safety, personal protective equipment, and security.

3. Report any potentially unsafe and hazardous conditions.

4. To perform in a suitable manner any other tasks and duties that may from time to time be reasonably requested of you by the Company’s management.

Core Competencies

• A plus to have relevant paint manufacturer’s competency training, but not required.
• Understand the proper process of packing and shipping of small to large items.
• Have a good understanding of inventory.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. using proper technique.
• Offer and implement creative ideas to improve efficiency.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without needing sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Must have access to reliable transportation.
• Must be willing to work overtime in needed.
• Must have the ability to distinguish the difference between colors.
• Basic computer skills is required: Microsoft Office Applications Word & Excel.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Ability to work within time constraints.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
