Scope of Duties
At Caring for Family of Companies, we look for people with a nurturing spirit and a genuine desire to support and care for others. In this role, you can expect some or all the following duties:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements according to GAAP guidelines
- Reconcile and ensure the accuracy of general ledger entries
- Perform all medical billing functions from invoicing through collections.
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable, including payroll and benefit allocations
- Assist with monthly, year-end, and external audit activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial management initiatives
- Perform general cost accounting, guide junior team members, and other related duties in the accounting department
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA certification preferred)
- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience with benefits, payroll, receivables, collections, taxes, and payables in a management-corporate environment
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close
- Deep experience with accounting software (with QuickBooks experience preferred as we scale)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, combined with other skills in technology and electronics
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to accurate detail under deadlines
- Excellent collaboration abilities with a team mindset prioritizing interpersonal communication, discretion, and exceptional judgment
