The Role
We are currently in search of a Project Manager to join our team primarily responsible for managing projects with external clients and some internal projects too.
A Project Manager is crucial to the successful planning and execution of complex digital projects. They define project scope, manage resources, timelines, and budgets, and serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders. In addition to overseeing projects, they mentor others and contribute to best practices within the organization. With expertise in various project management methodologies and industry trends, Project Managers drive project success and help clients achieve their business goals.
We are looking for someone to start off part time (contract) at 20 hours per week to start with the ability to scale up to Full Time (32+ hours) in the near to mid term. Options for fixed contract and/or conversion to employee status exists for the right candidate after 6 to 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and maintain comprehensive project plans, identifying key milestones, risks, and resources required to deliver exceptional digital experiences for our clients.
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, strategists, and content creators, to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle and maintaining strong relationships.
- Monitor and control project progress, providing regular status updates, and proactively addressing any issues or obstacles that may arise.
- Oversee project budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and that projects are delivered within the agreed-upon financial parameters.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to optimize processes and methodologies to enhance project delivery and team performance.
- Actively contribute to the development of best practices and standard operating procedures, sharing knowledge and expertise with the wider team.
- Ensure that all project deliverables meet or exceed the highest quality standards and adhere to industry best practices and guidelines.

- Implementing a new e-commerce platform: A Project Manager may lead the process of selecting, designing, and implementing a new e-commerce platform for a retail client. This would involve coordinating with multiple teams, such as designers, developers, and marketing specialists, to ensure a seamless transition and optimal user experience.
- Website redesign and optimization: A Project Manager might oversee a complete website redesign for a client, aiming to improve usability, accessibility, and overall performance. They would manage the timeline, budget, and resources, as well as coordinate with stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure the project meets their goals and expectations.
- Digital marketing campaign management: A Project Manager could be responsible for planning and executing a multi-channel digital marketing campaign for a client. This would entail working closely with content creators, designers, and marketing strategists to develop and implement targeted messaging, while tracking key performance indicators and optimizing the campaign for maximum results.
- Software development project: A Project Manager might manage a custom software development project for a client, involving the creation of a new business application or the improvement of existing software. They would coordinate with developers, UX/UI designers, and quality assurance teams to ensure the timely delivery of a high-quality product that meets the client's needs.
- Enterprise systems integration: A Project Manager could be tasked with leading a large-scale integration project, such as merging multiple CRM or ERP systems following a company merger or acquisition. They would be responsible for managing the project scope, resources, and timeline, as well as coordinating with various stakeholders and technical teams to ensure a smooth transition.

Requirements
- Proficiency in Agile project methodologies and successful management of distributed teams are key requirements for this role.
- A must-have is previous experience as a project manager overseeing remote teams.
- Clear, concise, and straightforward communication skills are critical for success in this position.
- Essential requirements include previous experience managing remote teams of 3 to 10+ individuals and handling budgets ranging from $25k to $250k+.
- The candidate should have familiarity with standard software development cycles, given the technical nature of the role.
Preferred Experience
- Proven track record in managing complex digital projects, such as website development, mobile app development, e-commerce platform implementation, or digital marketing campaigns.
- Expertise in various project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Kanban.
- Experience with project management tools and software, such as JIRA, ClickUp, Microsoft Project, or Asana.
- Strong understanding of web and mobile app technologies, including front-end and back-end development, UX/UI design principles, and software testing processes.
- Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and tactics, such as SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media marketing, and content creation.
- Background in managing remote, distributed, or cross-functional teams, with a focus on fostering collaboration and clear communication.
- Proficiency in budgeting and resource allocation, with experience in managing project budgets ranging from $25k to $250k+.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting strict deadlines.
- Experience in stakeholder management and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Relevant project management certifications, such as PMP, PgMP, or PRINCE2.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements and timelines.
- Familiarity with industry-standard tools and platforms, such as Google Workspace, ClickUp, Discord, or Slack.

This position is freelance contract to start with around 20 hours of work per week available.
