Full Job Description
The Production Expediter is responsible for ensuring that the customer satisfaction is achieved through the on-time delivery of defect-free product that meets all requirements and specifications by tracking, prioritizing and moving product and materials through production processes.

What you’ll do:
- Meet with Program Management, Scheduling and Planning teams daily to update production priorities.
- Update Shop Floor Control (SFC) to reflect changes to global priorities.
- Work with Engineers, Technicians and other SME’s to craft solutions and remove barriers to continue building and moving boards and assemblies.
- Negotiate with coordinators and managers to prioritize global requirements within manufacturing cells.
- Communicate potential delays and schedule misses immediately to initiate planning and communication with critical parties
- Use Shop Floor Control, SMARTer, Fourth Shift, and Agile to accomplish critical product expedites.
- Use Fourth Shift System to check on and follow-up on part shortages, due dates and order status.
- Physically track and expedite manufacturing builds between locations as needed to meet customer needs
- Regularly communicates with: Procurement, Customer Product Specialist, Manufacturing Managers, Leads, Coordinators, Test Personnel, Shipping, Receiving, Stockroom and others.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need:
- Advanced proficiency in computer systems, including MS Excel (vlookups, etc), Office, and Outlook
- High-level critical thinking, analysis, attention to detail, organization, ability to multi-task and learn quickly
- Demonstrated self-motivation, problem solving abilities, team spirit and a “hands on” mentality
- Thoroughness and an ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy or quality
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with a variety of internal customers.
- Able to work in self-directed manner with minimal supervision.
- Highly organized and able to stay focused and prioritize rapidly.
- Demonstrated ability to understand the complexity of multi-level board manufacturing.
- Ability to work with a high sense of urgency and work overtime when needed
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office products, databases and MRP systems.
- Understands MRP principals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical or Engineering Certificate or Degree
