Job Description Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team and provide exceptional maintenance support for two multi-family communities, Townfair Apartments (265 units) and Waverly Gardens Apartments (147 units) located in Gresham, OR and Portland, OR. This position involves performing repairs and maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and appliances, as well as addressing work orders, conducting preventative maintenance to ensure the property remains in excellent condition. The Maintenance Technician will also assist with apartment turnovers, maintain the grounds and common areas, and respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
Compensation: $27.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday; must be able to respond to after hour emergencies and participate in on-call rotation schedule

Requirements
Essential Responsibilities and Requirements:
- 1+ years prior experience as a Maintenance Technician at a multi-family apartment community of 100+ units
- Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance on the property by diagnosing the source of the defect or problem, and making repairs in accordance with established policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements
- Completes the “make-ready” process to prepare vacant apartment homes for new move-ins by scheduling vendors and contractors as needed, obtaining needed supplies and materials, completing all maintenance tasks, and inspecting completed work
- Follows procedures for accessing and obtaining materials, supplies, equipment, tools, and other items from the property’s maintenance department by tracking inventory used, returning unused items to the established location, and notifying the maintenance supervisor about re-ordering needs.
- Experience and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repair
- Employees must supply their own hand tools and possess knowledge and skills in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, mechanical equipment and measuring devices.
- Superior customer service, attention to detail, and time management skills
- Dynamic self-starter who enjoys working with others and excels in a faced paced team-oriented environment
- Must be able to respond to after hour emergencies as needed and participate in on-call rotation
- Must have valid driver's license
