Introduction:
We are a leading, national consulting firm that provides compassionate, full-spectrum emergency management services including planning and preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation services to the public and private sectors before, during and after a natural disaster or catastrophic event.

Position Summary:

Mission of Role/Position Summary:
This role will provide expert consulting services to our clients. The advisor will support by recommending and implementing solutions for comprehensive preparedness strategies, assessing risk and developing procedures that are tailored to state needs and compliance regulations.
Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:

- Provide expert guidance in developing emergency management plans, including preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with clients to assess vulnerabilities and risks, recommending actionable solutions for comprehensive emergency preparedness.
- Conduct after-action reviews and evaluations to improve response strategies and enhance readiness for future incidents.
- Develop policies and procedures aligned with federal, state, and local regulations to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness.
- Advise on emergency management principles for public health initiatives.
- Effective communication ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of information.

- Ability to maintain sensitive customer and internal information with a high level of confidentiality.

Expected Hours of Work:
Schedule may vary. Work on evenings and weekends may be required. Dependability and punctuality are paramount.
Travel Requirements:
- Up to 0% travel is expected for this position.
Physical Demands:
- Mobility required on-site with clients.
- Sitting or standing for hours at a time.
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time if needed.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. repetitively throughout the day and as needed.
Working Environment:
- Emergency management personnel may work in an office or home environment or be deployed to the field which may require working outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
- Work may be on-site with clients ex: EOC, hospital, debris sites or local government buildings.
- All AC Disaster Consulting (ACDC) positions are remote work site positions with the home location agreed upon at time of hire.
- If the remote work site locations change, ACDC Human Resources must be made aware, and leadership needs to approve any site changes for business registration and payroll tax purposes.
Requirements
Experience/Education Required:
- 5+ years in public health specific planning
- 20+ years in County, State, and Federal planning and preparedness
- Experience in multi-state planning
- Certified Type III All Hazards Operations Section Chief
- Certified Type III All Hazards Planning Section Chief Experience
Experience/Education Preferred:
- A bachelor's degree in emergency management or public health is preferred. Years of experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year for year basis, in addition to the minimum requirements.
- Preferred experience in ARC View GIS software
Additional Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsored visa is required. We are not able to employ those located outside of the US.
- Must pass company and any applicable client background check and reference check upon offer of employment.
