Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians in clinical procedures and surgeries.
  • Prepare surgical instruments and ensure a sterile environment.
  • Administer medications and vaccinations under the direction of veterinarians.
  • Monitor animal health during procedures, including anesthesia and recovery.
  • Conduct routine examinations and assess animal health status.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all animals.
  • Educate pet owners about preventative care, nutrition, and hygiene for their pets.

Requirements

  • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital.
  • Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations.
  • Compassion for animals and commitment to their welfare.
  • Ability to lift and handle animals of various sizes safely.
