Sow Farm Manager

Prestage Farms is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sow Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of a 2,500 head sow farm. The Sow Farm Manager will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and productive performance of the sows, as well as the management of farm staff and resources.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in sow farm management
• Excellent leadership and team-building skills
• Strong understanding of swine production and herd management
• Knowledge of herd health, nutrition, and production
• Ability to implement biosecurity measures and ensure herd health protocols
• Understanding of record-keeping and data analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Good communication skills to interact with staff and management
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks
