Full Job Description
A third-party partner is seeking a Senior Tax professional in Tulsa, OK. The role involves working with the tax team to provide quality tax services to clients across various industries, including manufacturing, oil and gas, insurance, health care, wholesale/distribution, financial institutions, governmental, and nonprofit organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and uphold the firm's core values and service standards.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of individual, partnership, corporate, and fiduciary income tax areas.
- Lead projects to gain knowledge in estate, gift, nonprofit, and pension tax areas.
- Perform tasks related to income tax planning and research technical tax issues.
- Assist with other business consulting projects.
- Apply general tax rules and concepts effectively.
- Participate in projects to explore niche development opportunities.
- Develop tax research and planning skills.
- Communicate results internally and externally on project and client information.
- Understand and align with client objectives to maximize service value.
- Manage client contacts and communication processes.
- Prepare complex tax returns.
- Supervise and train staff and interns.
- Review less complex tax returns.
- Utilize relevant computer software applications efficiently.
- Understand job performance economics, including firm operations, budget, and billing constraints.
- Attend and participate in tax training sessions.
- Engage in professional and business organizations as needed.
- Contribute to client development and marketing efforts.
- Adhere to the firm's quality control standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited institution.
- Compliance with the 150-hour rule and/or CPA certification.
- Minimum of two years of public accounting experience.
- Knowledge of GAAP and OCBOA.
- Strong technical, research, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and other software applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, walk, drive, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift/move up to 25 lbs.
