Radiologic Technologist (RT) - Full Time

Xpress Wellness Urgent Care is looking for a skilled and compassionate Radiologic Technologist to join our team. Responsibilities

• Triage/greet patients; obtain patient medical history and vital signs.
• Show patients to exam rooms and prepare them to see the practitioners including explaining procedures
• Administers injections, medications, eye and ear irrigations and enemas, dresses/bandages wounds and incisions, draws blood, and assists provider with any procedures, as directed. All actions taken are by provider orders only.
• Performs diagnostic tests including eye exam, electrocardiograph, defibrillator, cardiac monitor, oxygen equipment, pulse ox, peak flow and inhalation treatment equipment.
• Performs CLIA-waived lab tests, draws blood and collects, labels and processes lab specimens for send-out.
• Utilizes shielding /collimation to minimize patient radiation exposure, complies with Radiation Safety Procedures and ALARA principles;  monitors own radiation exposure.
• Properly performs radiographic modalities and procedures.
• Assist practitioners with patient examinations and procedures; assist with medication administration.
• Deliver post-exam instruction to patients and perform follow-ups as needed.
• Document all information appropriately in patient charts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited x-ray-based training program
• Current Radiologic Technologist (RT) license
• Knowledge of x-ray techniques and proper patient alignment during procedures
• CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Proficient computer skills, experience with electronic medical records preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work weekends and/or holidays when needed
• Compassionate and professional demeanor with patients and team members
