Join us as a Process Engineer in Pryor. The Process Engineer is a critical position in the facility to ensure operations are running smoothly and efficiently. This is carried out by monitoring equipment performance, improving efficiency, optimizing systems, ensuring safety protocols are followed, while meeting the quality requirements for products in the plant. This role provides technical support, resolves process issues, and leads or participates in capital projects. In this role you will have an opportunity to make a direct impact because as a Process Engineer you will drive continuous improvement initiatives and support business activities to meet production requirements.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Monitor operating conditions and recommend corrective actions,
- Plan and implement process improvements through trend analysis and metrics management to enhance product quality and production efficiency,
- Optimize plant performance by improving product volume, yields, and quality while minimizing costs and maximizing safety,
- Maintain records of major process trends, costs, and incidents,
- Use statistical techniques and failure analysis to improve process capability and resolve issues,
- Develop and implement cost reduction projects, including process automation and control,
- Lead or participate in small to medium sized capital projects,
- Monitor raw material usage and costs to improve value,
- Collaborate with the Production Engineer on data analysis and reporting for financial activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering,
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing facility (preferred),
- Project management skills are an asset,
- Strong communication and analytical skills,
- Proven ability to influence actions and mindsets,
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills,
- Highly organized with strong time management skills.
