Role Responsibilities
- Financial Leadership:
- Prepare and present monthly financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow.
- Conduct variance analysis on key performance indicators to support strategic decision-making.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Develop annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, providing insights through sales and margin analysis.
- Lead weekly cash forecasting and various periodic reports to enhance business operations.
- Audit and Compliance:
- Act as the primary contact for internal and external audits, ensuring accurate and timely responses.
- Manage tax return preparations and other tax-related inquiries for assigned sites.
- Team Development:
- Mentor and manage assigned staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Strategic Support:
- Coordinate capital expenditure requests and track approved projects.
- Advise on accounting issues, establishing consistent policies and procedures across the organization.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience:
- At least 10 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment; aerospace industry experience is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of expertise in cost accounting.
- At least 3 years of experience supervising and developing direct reports.
Key Skills and Abilities
- Financial Expertise: Deep understanding of US GAAP as it applies to manufacturing.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in full-cycle budgeting, tax compliance, and auditing.
- Advanced Tools: Mastery of Excel and experience with ERP systems (Infor Visual preferred).
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to navigate unexpected challenges.
- Integrity and Confidentiality: Uphold the highest standards in securing company records and communications.
- Adaptability: Self-manage with efficiency, responding swiftly to shifting priorities and deadlines.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
