Full Job Description

The Locum Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to patients with cardiovascular conditions. This position requires an experienced and compassionate healthcare professional with a strong understanding of cardiology and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations, reviewing medical histories, and ordering diagnostic tests
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, such as coronary artery disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including medication management, lifestyle modifications, and patient education
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide seamless and coordinated care
  • Perform procedures such as electrocardiograms (ECGs), blood pressure monitoring, and stress tests
  • Interpret diagnostic test results and make appropriate recommendations
  • Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies
  • Provide compassionate and supportive care to patients and their families
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in cardiology and incorporate them into practice
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of patient care

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in nursing (MSN) or Physician Assistant (PA) studies from an accredited institution
  • Current RN or PA license in the state of employment
  • Board certification in cardiology or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
  • Commitment to providing patient-centered care

Salary is based on experience and work hours.
