Loader / Forklift Operator

We are currently looking for a reliable and experienced Loader to join our Distribution Center located in Lawton, OK! Loaders accurately and quickly service a very fast paced client base while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards in the industry. They are responsible for ensuring products are loaded safely and accurately and utilize RF scanners to manage inventory arriving and leaving.  They are required to work in all climate conditions, be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly, and must be prepared to meet any challenge.

This position will pay $21.27/hour and work 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday.

Principal Responsibilities

• Operate forklift equipment effectively and safely; maintain equipment and report malfunctions.
• Perform warehouse duties including shipping & receiving, loading & unloading, and receiving/locating product within the warehouse utilizing RF scanner technology.
• Accurately pick, stack, wrap and stage outbound freight (PVC pipes)
• Complete work in a prescribed sequence to ensure deliver-by-dates are met.
• Work effectively to meet productivity, quality and safety targets.
• Load/unload trucks as the need arises.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in accordance with 5S protocols.
• Report unsafe work conditions/environment in a timely basis.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent is preferred; 18 years or older
• Previous experience safely operating forklifts; operation of other warehouse related equipment is an asset
• Previous experience working in a warehouse and yard is highly preferred
• Experience order picking, putting away, accurately packing, and staging loads is desired. Ability to use RF scanner technology.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; must be able to read and write English
• Good interpersonal skills; work well as a team but be self-motivated, positive, and independent at times.
• Ability to lift 40-50 pounds repeatedly; ability to stand on your feet for the duration of the shift and work outside.
• Ability to meet daily deadlines and to work in an environment where assignments and work priorities are reviewed several times a day
• Must be self-motivated and independent, but work will within a team
• Steel toed shoes/boots are required as is the willingness to work indoors and outdoors in all climates.
• Successful completion of drug screen, physical, and criminal background check
