Janitor / Custodian / Floor Tech

University Village Retirement Community is seeking an experienced Floor Tech responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the floors throughout the entire facility. Follows a schedule to wash, seal, wax, and buff all resilient floors. Vacuum carpets per the established schedule and as needed to maintain a clean impression of the building at all times. Keeps grounds cleared of debris. Sweeps ambulance entrance, clinic entrance, courtyard entrances, and patio areas, and ensures outside furniture is clean and usable. Performs assignments from the Environmental Services Manager which may include checking and replacing light bulbs, cleaning registers in resident rooms, replacing curtains, etc.

Hourly Rate of $14 - 16, based on previous experience

Shift Details:

Thursday - Monday, 2:00pm - 11:30pm (off on Tuesday and Wednesday)

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Previous experience in housekeeping or related field
• Experience operating floor machinery – floor buffers, carpet extractors
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and work closely with residents and employees
• Must have the patience to work with seniors
• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
