Industrial Maintenance Technician (Nights)

We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Maintenance Technician. This role is based in our facility in Lawton, OK and will work 12 hour shifts (8:00 pm to 8:00 am) on a 2, 2, 3 continental shift schedule. This position is budgeted at $29.40/hour plus $1.00 shift differential.

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic individual who will be responsible for the inspection, troubleshooting, and overhaul of mechanical systems used in the extrusion production of PVC pipes. This position will focus primarily on the general upkeep, repair, preventative maintenance and safe operation of the facility and the industrial equipment operating within.

Principal Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot problem equipment as assigned by manager/supervisor
• Perform necessary repairs, installations and preventative maintenance to keep facilities operating
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, lubricated, filters replaced, etc.
• Ensure mechanical operations, standards and controls are maintained at high quality.
• Perform essential change overs and startups as scheduled.
• Proactively inform management if equipment is unsafe to operate, needs repair or requires replacement

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School diploma or certificate of completion is preferred; technical school is an asset
• Experience working with extrusion machines or equipment is an asset
• Mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery and electrical troubleshooting skills are required. Welding experience is considered an asset
• Must be eager to learn, self-motivated to work independently and have good written and verbal communication skills
• Must provide own safety boots and preferably own basic hand tools
• Available to work 12-hour continental night shifts, with an average of 42 hours per week

Working Conditions

• Requires good mobility and involves considerable walking, standing for long periods, bending, and lifting up to a maximum of 50 lbs.
