Role and Responsibilities:
As the Engineering Manager, you will be integral to the site management team, reporting directly to the General Manager. You will oversee the planning and engineering operations in a 24/7 aerospace manufacturing facility, ensuring the production of high-quality metallic and composite components and assemblies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Directing daily department activities and developing manufacturing plans.
- Creating and maintaining engineering drawings and documentation.
- Coordinating with CNC programming and functional teams for part manufacturing.
- Managing configuration throughout the product lifecycle.
- Reviewing and distributing customer engineering specifications and requirements.
- Supporting production, procurement, and quality teams with engineering documentation.
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.
- Managing and developing a team of direct and indirect reports.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering.
- Supervisory experience in aerospace manufacturing.
- In-depth knowledge of AS9100, FAA standards, and industry regulations.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical specifications.
- Strong understanding of configuration management principles.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably Infor Visual) and engineering software (preferably Catia V5CAD/CAM).
