Engineer - Materials, Process and R&D

DUTIES:

·         Oversee OEM and MRO manufacturing in brazing, welding and chemical cleaning processes, non-destructive tests, ATP, failure analysis, heat treatment and coating at the company, while writing procedures, and standards for those operations.

·         Research and development of materials and processes for new projects and writing their BOM and materials list.

·         Implement advanced technologies in the production process.

·         Work with external laboratories to perform destructive tests for failures in the production process and develop solutions.

·         Prepare for NADCAP auditions and performing tests with the reviewers – first and periodic reviews.

·         Approval and audit of subcontractors, checking their COC’s, data sheets, compliance with the regulatory requirements of FAA and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and meeting the standardization of the aviation field (AMS and HS).

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering, or related and 3 years of related experience.

3 years of experience in brazing processes – both partial pressure and hard vacuum, chemical cleaning process, chemical analysis, welding, and NDT, for aluminum, stainless steel and Inconel; Collaborating with external laboratories and in-house teams to perform mechanical, chemical, and failure analysis and testing, for yield optimization and for researching and integrating novel metals into new projects; and fins and metal production techniques.
