The Diesel Technician creates an exceptional customer experience while creating customer loyalty. The Diesel Technician will also be responsible for the diagnostics and repairs of our customers and dealerships vehicles. As the Diesel Technician your role will include but not be limited to the following:

Requirements

Diagnosis and Repair: Diagnose, repair, and perform maintenance on diesel engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, and other components of diesel vehicles.

Inspection: Perform thorough inspections and testing of diesel systems to identify issues and ensure proper functioning.

Troubleshooting: Use diagnostic tools and manuals to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems efficiently.

Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks to ensure vehicles operate smoothly.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities using computerized systems or written logs.

  • Must be able to operate a vehicle
  • Know and understand the dealership computer systems
  • Attend company and factory training
  • Stay current with manufacturer warranty requirements
  • Knows and understands the Snell Privacy and Information Security Policies and adhere to the requirements.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to answer customers’ technical questions regarding vehicle problems, warranties, services, and repairs.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems in general
  • Ability to review service orders and inspect the vehicle for necessary repairs
  • Knowledge of new models and product improvements, based on technical service bulletins, etc.
  • Knowledge of warranty guidelines and ability to relate them to warranty service repair orders.
  • Ability to communicate well with co-workers throughout repair process
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and be on your feet for three or more hours at a time
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and meet company MVR policy requirements
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings (background and drug test)
