Corporate Program Manager – Mechanical Integrity (MI)

Our global chemical client is looking for a high-performing Corporate Program Manager to spearhead their comprehensive MI and Fixed Equipment Inspection Programs. What You'll Do:
As the Corporate Program Manager, you will take charge of the strategic leadership and implementation of Mechanical Integrity (MI) initiatives across the company’s sites. This includes:
- Develop and Execute: Lead the development and execution of a corporate-wide Mechanical Integrity Program to improve equipment reliability, encompassing vessel, piping, and relief device inspections and repairs.
- Risk-Based Inspection: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of a risk-based equipment inspection program, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate for Success: Partner with site inspection leaders to enhance the reliability of fixed equipment, develop risk-based inspection strategies, and supervise the scheduling and execution of inspections.
- Train and Mentor: Lead training programs for site inspection, reliability, operations, and engineering teams, while mentoring and developing site inspectors.
- Audit and Improve: Conduct internal audits of site MI programs and inspection routines, and provide recommendations to eliminate repeated fixed equipment failures.
- Innovate for Reliability: Support design improvements in equipment and systems, enhancing production reliability, process safety, and environmental performance.
- Lead the Way with Data: Champion the use of PCMS to manage inspection data across sites, ensuring accurate documentation and data-driven decision-making.
- Expert Oversight: Review and approve inspection scopes and plans for turnarounds, develop Inspection Task Plans (ITPs) in compliance with API standards (510, 570, 653, & 580), and perform risk assessments to determine the remaining service life of critical assets.
Requirements
Who You Are:
- Strategic Leader: You’re a forward-thinker with experience in mechanical reliability and maintenance in PSM-regulated plants, driving initiatives across multiple sites.
- Mechanical Integrity Expert: You have a deep understanding of MI-related regulatory requirements, including OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and RAGAGEP standards, with 5+ years of MI program management experience in petrochemical facilities.
- Technical Innovator: You bring technical expertise in evaluating fixed and rotating equipment, creating damage mechanism reviews, and developing solutions to improve overall plant safety and performance.
- Mentor and Trainer: You’re passionate about developing talent, and you have experience mentoring and setting goals for site inspection teams.
Your Qualifications:
- B.S. in Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering, with 10+ years of experience in Mechanical Reliability/Maintenance.
- 5+ years of experience managing Mechanical Integrity Programs in petrochemical facilities.
- Familiarity with MI regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, NFPA, etc.) and industry best practices (RAGAGEP).
- API Certifications (510, 570, 580, 579, 650, 653) and AWS CWI certification.
- Professional Engineer’s License (preferred).
