Yard Supervisor - Weekend Shift Rotating

Express Employment is currently looking for an experienced Yard Supervisor for a Weekend Shift Rotating position. As a Yard Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing yard operations, ensuring efficient management of all incoming and outgoing traffic, and leading a team to maintain efficient vehicle movement in and out of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily porting operations at a Tier 1 Supplier
• Manage and train porting staff to ensure adherence to safety and operational protocols
• Monitor changes to current vehicle counts and ensure proper movements into and out of the building
• Coordinate with fellow Supervisors for the efficient movement of vehicles
• Conduct regular inspections of the yard to maintain cleanliness and organization
• Handle discrepancies and resolve any issues related to vehicles or equipment
• Maintain accurate records of yard activities and report on performance metrics
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory role, preferably in yard operations or logistics
• Strong knowledge of inventory management and safety protocols
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage a diverse team effectively
• Proficiency in using inventory and logistics software
• Ability to work a rotating weekend shift
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license
