We are looking for an experienced and visionary Vice President of Sales to join our executive team and lead our sales organization. This role will be responsible for driving the revenue growth and profitability of Burkett Restaurant Equipment both regionally and nationally. This role will leverage and implement effective sales and leadership strategies to build and lead a high-performing sales team while fostering strong customer relationships.

VP of Sales
Reports To: President
FLSA Status: Exempt (Salary)
Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
- New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, developing and executing targeted sales strategies to expand Burkett's customer base.
- Sales Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, train, and develop a highly motivated and skilled sales team. Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance management to ensure optimal productivity.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Market Expansion: Analyze market trends and identify emerging opportunities to expand Burkett's geographic reach and market share. Develop and execute strategic plans for growth in new territories.
- Sales Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and refine sales processes, systems, and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
- Revenue Generation: Achieve or exceed revenue targets through effective sales management and execution.
- Financial Performance: Develop sales budget and KPI’s. Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive profitability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in sales a leadership role, preferably in the restaurant equipment or hospitality industry.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and leading high-performing sales teams.
- Strong understanding of sales methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with ERP (NetSuite or similar), Call Center phone systems, CRM systems, and sales automation tools.
- Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and industry standards is preferred
- A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
