UTILITY LOCATE TECHNICIAN
Location: Columbus, OH
Pay: $19-$20/hr+ (Depending on Experience)
Experience Level: Entry Level OR Experienced
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking dedicated Utility Locate Technicians based in Columbus, OH to work on the Nisource project. This project extends through 2027 with potential extensions thereafter. As a Utility Locate Technician, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient operation of underground electrical and gas utilities.
Utilizing state-of-the-art Trimble equipment, you will conduct comprehensive surveys to accurately locate utilities. Your responsibilities include interpreting utility maps, plans, and as-built drawings to ensure precise identification of utility lines. Whether you're an experienced professional or just starting your career, we welcome candidates who are open to learning and growing.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Clean Background Check
- Clean Driving Record
- Pre-employemnt drug test
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions
- Proof of High School Diploma OR GED
- Ability to frequently lift and move 40lb - 5lb throughout the day
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Ability to work alone or in a team setting (or open to learning!)
- Ability to read utility maps, plans and as-built drawings (or open to learning!)
- Prior utility locating experience (or open to learning!)
- Familiarity with Electromagnetic multi-frequency locating tools (or open to learning!)
