We are looking for a qualified Quality Control Technician to be an active contributor in verifying the quality of parts through visual, in-process and final inspections in order to support development and production activities. The ideal candidate will have experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, code specifications, and purchase orders to verify products are in compliance with the requirements set forth in these documents along with experience either machining or inspecting aerospace components in a job shop environment.
This is a full-time, direct hire position with 1st shift hours.

Requirements
- Applicants must be an exclusive US Citizen
- Applicants must be willing and able to apply for and maintain a US DoD Security Clearance
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED), or higher levels of accredited education
- 3+ years of relevant experience in Quality Control Inspections including in-process and final product inspections
- Experience in either machining or inspecting aerospace components in a job shop environment
- Must also have experience setting up gage blocks
- 3+ years experience reading and interpreting Engineering Drawings, Code Specifications, and Purchase Orders to verify products are in compliance with the requirements set forth in these documents
- Experience with GD&T
- General mechanical/technical aptitude and good manual dexterity required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment autonomously and under pressure and complete all assigned tasks
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and perform basic math calculations
- Ability to solve problems using existing procedures to perform straightforward tasks
- Can work well with others in a diverse group and foster a cooperative work environment
- Excellent physical condition and endurance
- Candidates will be required to pass a drug test
- Ability to wear half face respirator or PAPR
Responsibilities
- As the Quality Control Inspector, you will be an active contributor in verifying the quality of parts through visual, in-process, and final inspections
- This role will require you to use numerous measuring devices to perform dimensional checks on new parts
- Additionally, you will work closely with Engineering to reduce the number of defects
- Perform Quality Control product validation inspections on carbon fiber components and assemblies
- Perform visual inspections as one-over-one process verification utilizing visual inspection techniques and the use of precision measuring equipment including blue light scanning
- Responsible for documenting product defects and generating non-conformance reports
- Responsible for completing detailed quality control Inspection (in-process and final inspections) records
- Maintain accurate inspection reports and records in compliance with Quality Management System (QMS)
- Assist in development of QMS Procedures and Work Instructions to eliminate quality defects and improve shop process
- Maintain site gaging 5S and cleanliness standards in machine shop inspection area
- Assist in site gage calibration activities
- Assist engineering and operators by ensuring correct gaging / inspection methods are used and setting-up needed gages
- Assist Engineers and team with data gathering to support investigations
- Experience using inspection tools such as scales, inside micrometers, dial calipers, test, Blue light scanners, and dial indicators is a plus.
