Production Teammate - 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shift

Our production teammates perform standardized work tasks in a safe, efficient and quality manner to meet

production needs. Assist the Production Team Leader with set ups, clean outs and changeovers on the filling lines.

The varied duties of this role allow candidates to grow their skills, responsibilities of this position include:

• Fill bags, bottles or tubes with product, and apply caps, pumps, or tubes to the package.

• Squeeze product bags for leaks, check tubes, and stuff bags into cartons.

• Make and stack shippers.

• Pack bottles, bags, or cartons into cases and stack on skids.

• Transport raw materials and finished product to designated areas with the aid of a hand truck.

• Sort product for defects, rework product, and assemble dispensers.

• Label packages by hand, or with the use of labeler or printing equipment.

• Follow the Production Team Leader’s standardized work methods, all fill line work orders, and Production Team Leader instructions.

• Perform all job duties according to GMP and customer specifications, promptly report anything that appears incorrect to the Production Team Leader.

• Perform tasks in an efficient manner that keeps up with the speed of the production line, and in a manner that produces quality product with correct fill weights, batch numbers, label placement, stacking patterns, etc.

• Maintain 5S standards for safety and good housekeeping in production and assigned work areas.

• Follow established safe work practices in completion of tasks.

• Learn and perform additional tasks as assigned, including assisting with or performing set up of equipment, clean outs and changeovers, and administrative paperwork tasks as instructed.

• Help instruct others who are new to the filling line or work area on how to correctly perform tasks.

• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

Education & Experience: 

Eight grade math and reading proficiency preferred, but not required for all tasks.

Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, but not required for all tasks.

Physical Requirements:

Combination of light to medium manual work.

Stand up to 100% of the time.

Lifting to waist up to 40 pounds frequently.

Occasional overhead lifting up to 25 pounds.

Tolerance for dusty conditions and exposure to chemicals, fragrances and dyes.

Production teammates hours are Monday through Friday from 7am-3pm for first shift. Second shift hours are Monday through Friday from 3pm-11pm and third shift hours are from Sunday night through Thursday night from 11pm -7am. Starting pay is $16/hour for first shift, second and third pay is $16/hour plus $1.00 shift differential with a review and raise after 3 months, on your one year anniversary and annually thereafter.
