Job Summary:
M/I Financial, LLC a subsidy of M/I Homes has an exciting opportunity for the right person to learn all aspects of mortgage compliance and quality assurance. This person will assist the Compliance Officer and the Quality Assurance Manager with the following:
- Assist with reviewing and preparing documents for internal audits and state regulatory exams
- Assist with reviewing loan files to ensure the branch personnel is correctly adhering to regulatory, internal compliance and quality guidelines, and private investor guidelines.
- Willingness to provide suggestions to improve current business processes and system programming to reduce the possibility of errors
- Assist with providing one on one training during quality audits.

Requirements
Skills Required:
- Understanding of Loan servicing and ability to perform servicing related audits.
- Underwriting experience
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret instructions and various types of written communication.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various people within an organization including executives, managers, peers, employees, and clients.
- Strong reasoning ability. Ability to solve complex problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to research and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneous
- Consistent demonstration of accuracy and thoroughness
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- One to two years of experience in regulatory compliance activities (Preferred but not required)
