Expert Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and skilled MICU Registered Nurse to join our intensive care team. In this critical role, you will provide exceptional nursing care to patients with life-threatening conditions in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). You will be responsible for continuous monitoring, assessment, and implementation of advanced care plans tailored to each patient’s complex needs. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists to ensure the highest quality of care and support for both patients and their families. Schedule: (3) 12-hour shifts; Night Shift 7p-7:30a; No Block Scheduling
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of critically ill patients and monitor their vital signs and parameters.
- Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and other advanced treatments as prescribed.
- Interpret and act upon lab results and diagnostic tests, coordinating care with the healthcare team.
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans based on patient needs and clinical guidelines.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families about treatment and care options.
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately in electronic health records.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to enhance care coordination for critically ill patients.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- A minimum of 2 years of critical care nursing experience (ICU/MICU) required.
- Strong knowledge of critical care protocols and advanced cardiac life support.
- Experience with EPIC required.
- Exceptional critical thinking and assessment skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to work in a team-oriented environment.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications are required.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and demonstrate resilience in challenging cases.
