Job Summary: Works closely with Corporate Housing and Land Controller with a focus on finding efficiencies and maximizing financial performance of M/I Homes’ seventeen homebuilding operations through reporting, analysis, and interaction with operations teams.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Responsible Monthly, Quarterly, Annual and as-needed reporting
· Manage the compilation and distribution of land acquisition requests provided by divisions.
· Assist in compilation, review, and distribution of Divisional Budget, Revised Budget, and division review packets.
· Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
· Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
· Develop financial models to support division financial planning and forecasting.
· Monitor balance sheet items to include land & homebuilding WIP, escrows, and accruals.
· Work with divisional operations teams to understand and improve performance where needed.
· Create recommendations to be presented to management and executives
· Special projects as necessary.
Requirements
Minimum Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree, and 2-5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or similar position in homebuilding, banking, or finance or related fields.

· Demonstrate strong organizational and planning skills
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
· Excellent communication and presentation skills; be comfortable interacting with executive-level management
· Comfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently
· Display excellent written and strong oral communication skills
Work Conditions and Physical Requirements
· Office environment
· Some overtime work required
· Limited travel required
