Full Job Description

MIRK INC. is a family owned and operated business. We have been in business since 1972. We are looking for an Equipment Support Technician to maintain and repair aerial devices and other equipment commonly used in the utility industries (bucket trucks, diggers, and cranes). You will be responsible for ensuring functionality and reliability of equipment, engines and hydraulic systems. You must be able to work with various machines and tools as well as follow all safety precautions. Pay is determined by applicants qualifications and experience. We are looking for entry level and experienced applicants. Interested applicants are not required to have previous experience. We will provide on the job training.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect equipment, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
  • Check lights, fluids, and tire pressure
  • Clean and apply lubricants to machinery component.
  • Able to complete DOT annual inspections
  • Overtime is available but not mandatory

Requirements


  • Very good communication skills
  • Problem-solving ability
  • High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus
  • Maintain a good attendance record
  • MIRK will provide on job training for interested applicants
  • Routinely lift or carry 50lbs
