Summary
The Environmental Testing Technician is responsible for performing testing and determining issues of Underground Storage Tank (UST) equipment designed to reduce the chance of a release of petroleum into the environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Conduct periodic testing and evaluation of UST components
- Carry out the testing of all engineered equipment including spill buckets, overfills devices, tanks and lines, sumps, leak detectors, and cathodic protection
- Fill out completed test forms and submit to supervisor
- Operate specific testing equipment according to EPA guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned company vehicle
- Use mobile data tablets
- Perform monthly/annual walk-throughs as assigned
Competencies:

Requirements
- A minimum of a high school diploma/GED
- Experience in a similar environment or equivalent in college or vocational education
- Valid Driver License, with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to read and interpret and understand necessary training manuals.
- Must be 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States
- Must be willing to submit to a background and drug screen
