CNC Operator (Gen3 Backs)

Allied Machine & Engineering, headquartered in Dover, Ohio, is a leading manufacturer of holemaking and finishing cutting tool systems. Our tooling solutions deliver the lowest cost per hole in a wide range of applications.

The Gen 3 backs operator will set up, operate Walter Micro, run Gen 3 Back products, and inspect products using Zeiss CMM and manual cameras.

Schedule: 2-2-3. (Work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days. Must be able to work every other weekend.)

Shift: 5a - 5p (A Crew)

Training Shift: Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm

Location: 120 Deeds Dr., Dover, Ohio

Requirements

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Set-up Walter Micro machines.
• Run production on Walter machines.
• Inspect parts coming from machines with calipers, Zeiss CMM, Manual Camera, and Magnification light.
• Maintain and change grinding and truing rolls when wore out.
• Alert management on any fixturing issues.
• Maintain a high-quality level as well as a high rate of efficiency.
• Troubleshoot machine and programming problems.
• Fill out NCR for blades that don't meet quality standards.
• Proper use and care of calipers, Zeiss CMM, manual camera, and magnification lights.

Qualifications/Experience:

• High School degree or GED equivalent.
• Completed or enrolled in apprenticeship program preferred.
• Read and understand blueprints.
• Measuring equipment experience.
• Detail oriented.
• Good organization and planning skills.
• Able to lift up to 32 pounds.
