We are seeking a Calibration Technician to join our OCS Technologies team, an Aldinger Company!
As a Calibration Lab Technician, you will work out of our Cleveland, Ohio office to calibrate various equipment across differing fields. You will be responsible for performing routine and complex work related to the repair and calibration of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment.
Our Team of Calibration Technicians is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of calibrating various measuring devices and instruments across multiple fields in our Cleveland, Ohio Lab. The ideal candidate has experience with calibrating procedures, hands-on experience with calibrations of instruments and equipment, and maintaining calibration records.
Location: At our Cleveland, Ohio branch office
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Perform all duties in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
- Complete accurate and timely calibrations in our branch office.
- Perform calibration, performance checks and repair and maintenance on a wide variety of Instruments in accordance with established procedures and standards.
- Operate, maintain, and adjustment of calibration test equipment such as: Calipers, Micrometers, Pressure gages and Transducers, Thermometers, Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Force Measurement, and Torque instruments.
- Ensure all calibration activities comply with industry regulations and quality standards.
- Ensure that all calibration and tests are conducted safely and in compliance with established safety standards.
- Maintain calibration records and documentation, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
- Working directly with clients with effective communication to provide client updates and answer customer questions.
- Interact professionally with customers, providing excellent service and support.
- Communicate with customers throughout the process and provide status updates
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in calibrations
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good organizational and prioritization skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of principles, procedures, methods, and techniques in metrology gained through education or professional experience
- Knowledge and experience with Electrical, Physical, and/or Mechanical Calibration of equipment
- Understanding of ISO17025 programs
- Experience working with Manufacturer's Quality Systems
- Associate's Degree in Engineering, Electronics or other Technical Fields
- Technical Degree or Certificate
- Metrology experience
- Experience with IndySoft and/or Fluke Met/Cal Software
