Full Job Description

We are seeking a Calibration Technician to join our team at OCS Technologies, an Aldinger Company.  

Our Field Calibration Technicians are responsible for the on-site calibrations, maintenance, and repairs of various instruments and equipment for our customers. This role involves working with measurement devices such as temperature, pressure, dimensional, force, torque, and electrical instrumentation, ensuring they meet required standards and regulatory compliance.  

As a Field Technician, you will travel to customer locations and provide accurate calibration services, troubleshooting, and technical support for a wide range of equipment. The ideal candidate has well-rounded electronic and physical/dimensional calibration experience. 

Location: On-site at various customer sites in Cleveland, Ohio and Surrounding Areas. Some overnight project travel will be required for this role. 

Day to Day Responsibilities: 

  • Perform all duties in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017  
  • Complete accurate and timely calibrations on customer sites. 
  • Perform routine and complex calibration on a wide variety of equipment per company processes and instruction documentation.  
  • Perform calibration of a variety of devices and instruments in accordance with established procedures and standards. 
  • Working directly with clients throughout the calibration process from the first onsite touch point to completion of the project, including good communication to provide client updates on services needed 
  • Ensure all calibration activities comply with industry regulations and quality standards. 
  • Maintain calibration records and documentation, ensuring all data is accurate and current. 
  • Interact professionally with customers, providing excellent service and support. 
  • Communicate with customers throughout the process and provide status updates

Requirements

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years of Calibrations experience 
  • Able to lift 50lbs  
  • Able to climb, kneel, drive and stand for long periods of time 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word 
  • Excellent customer service skills 
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills 
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record 
  • Ability and willingness to travel to customers’ locations in the Cleveland, Ohio area and occasional overnight out-of-state travel. 

Nice to have: 

  • Knowledge of principles, procedures, methods and techniques in metrology gained through education, or professional experience  
  • Knowledge and experience with Electrical, Physical, and/or Mechanical Calibration of equipment 
  • Understanding of ISO17025 programs 
  • Experience working with Manufacturer's Quality Systems 
  • Associate's Degree in Engineering, Electronics or other Technical Fields 
  • Technical Degree or Certificate 
  • Metrology experience 
  • Experience with IndySoft
