Full Job Description

Seeking Battery Product Engineer with 3+ years of battery cell and pack scale-up or manufacturing experience to direct battery development, pilot, or manufacturing programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualified Candidates will be able to support several (not necessarily all) of the following:

  • Lead the technology transition from prototype to final product for power and energy projects, such as battery cells, battery packs, and power management systems.
  • Manage manufacturing evaluation of new product concepts (DFA), creation of manufacturing plans, and estimations of production costs.
  • Understand and analyze cell and battery pack characteristics, testing, and integration.
  • Effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and troubleshoot issues with cells.
  • Identify and implement strategies for achieving cell and pack objectives, requirements and certifications.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining cell and battery pack roadmap.
  • Work with procurement team to identify and maintain supply chain resources.
  • Proactively identify issues and assist in testing and troubleshooting.
  • Provide technical support to various cell and pack programs.
  • Design, procure, and maintain equipment and tools needed for cell and battery pack fabrication.
  • Work with engineers and technicians to achieve various production stages and goals.
  • Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

  • Stay current in technology advancements and embrace growth opportunities

Requirements

  • Exclusive US citizenship is required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance is required
  • BS in engineering or equivalent from an accredited university is required
  • Minimum 3 years industry experience with battery cell and pack fabrication or similar
  • Able to work in a Dry-room

Salary Range: $80,000 - $150,000 depending on experience
