Full Job Description
Position Description: Archbishop Hoban High School seeks an experienced professional to help further develop the school’s institutional advancement efforts and growth. This includes the cultivation of long-term relationships with alumni, donors, constituents, families and the local community. A successful candidate must be proactive, resourceful and passionate about supporting the school’s mission and values through effective fundraising and relationship building efforts. This is a full-time, salaried, exempt 12-month position with weekend and evening hours required for school events.

Requirements
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic perspective while significantly increasing constituent involvement and positive fundraising outcomes.
- Participate in all phases of the donor cycle including qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
- Create and grow constituent relations programs in the areas of alumni relations, parent relations, and other key constituent relations.
- Assist in the development of a comprehensive advancement calendar.
- Help to manage volunteer groups related to advancement and alumni.
- Assist with duties relative to processing, recording and acknowledging gifts in Raiser’s Edge software.
- Make impactful solicitations to donors of all levels.
- Serve as a creative resource in identifying and developing new opportunities for community relations and stewardship/donor relations activities.
- Oversee and/or assist with all institutional development-related events, including scholarship receptions, donor recognition, ceremonies and other events as assigned by the President.
- Assist in the planning and organizing of institutional advancement events and special projects.
- Create focused programming to engage young alumni in the advancement funnel.
- Develop strategies to increase the pool of available constituent data.
- Field and respond to external donor related phone and email inquiries.
- Foster positive and professional working relationships with all staff.
- Work to create and support a culture of philanthropy within the school community.
- Facilitate storytelling opportunities and retelling of success stories to the communications department.
Position Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree strongly preferred.
- At least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience and demonstrated success in one or more key areas of institutional advancement (annual giving, alumni relations, leadership giving, strategic data management, marketing or communication) is preferred.
- Proven ability to establish objectives and adhere to set performance standards.
- Demonstrated project management, organization, delegation, and prioritization skills.
- Experience motivating and collaborating successfully with volunteers.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to develop relationships of trust and respect with advancement staff, colleagues, volunteers, and donors.
- Ability to work with school technology (Excel, Google etc.).
- Appropriate criminal records check by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation and Federal Bureau of investigation are required. Have attended or willing to attend a VIRTUS Protecting God’s Children training.
