Scraper Operator

Baranko Brothers, Inc., a large earthwork contractor based out of Dickinson, ND, is looking for a skilled scraper operator to join our team. With over 50 years of experience, we have established strong relationships with private entities and local and state governments in the Midwest. As a member of the AGC and LEC, we take pride in providing high-quality earthwork services to our clients. The scraper operator will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to move earth and other materials for construction projects. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain scrapers and other heavy equipment
• Ability to read and understand grade stakes
• Move earth, rock, and other materials as needed
• Perform pre-operation safety checks on equipment
• Coordinate with project managers and other team members to ensure efficient workflow
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
• Complete daily activity logs and time sheets

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment preferred
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and comply with drug and alcohol policies during employment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans
• Basic knowledge of construction principles and materials
• Willingness to work in diverse weather conditions and irregular hours as needed.
• Perform other related duties as needed
