Assistant Manager - Convenience Store

We are currently seeking an Assistant Manager for one of our convenience stores. As the Assistant Manager, you will assist the Store Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring that customers are provided with exceptional service and that the store is running smoothly. This is a key role that requires strong organizational and leadership skills, as well as a solid understanding of retail operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in managing and supervising store employees
• Help in hiring, training, and evaluating the performance of employees
• Ensure that the store is properly stocked and merchandise is displayed attractively
• Promote products and services to customers and upsell when appropriate
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store
• Support the Store Manager in achieving sales goals and profitability targets
• Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies

Requirements

• Previous experience in a retail or convenience store environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Basic knowledge of inventory management and retail operations
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• High school diploma or equivalent
