Full Job Description
As a UG Construction Foreman, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of construction projects at the ground level from start-up through completion. You will also have a responsibility to enforce quality standards throughout a project lifecycle. The person in this position will provide direction, motivation, and accountability to assigned crews while performing safety inspections. An ideal candidate will possess a working knowledge of telecommunication construction, the ability to interpret maps/work prints, and be proficient in the use of the latest industry-related technologies. Most importantly, a Foreman will possess the ability to identify and troubleshoot problems and be the on-site representation for GAC
Requirements
- White line all assigned projects
- 811 locate visual inspection and verification of all assigned projects
- Perform QC inspection of job sites and projects
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date red lines
- Provide any information for project reporting and closeout
- Prepare incident reporting of all damages and claims that occur on projects
- Update project progress on company provided app “Field Wire”
- Coordinate with the Lead Supervisor on project progress, logistics, customer issues, and any other additional field needs
- Ensure that all construction sites comply with all state and regulatory agencies
- Enforce Safety, D.O.T and Traffic control compliance
- Enforce the use of all Project Specific PPE and OSHA compliances
- Review and ensure paperwork required by the company is turned accurately and promptly.(e.g.: bore logs, JSA, Daily production sheet)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external teams
- Excellent computer proficiency
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
