Location: Lewiston, NC

Overview: Join our dynamic team as the Senior Safety and Security Manager, where you'll be at the forefront of ensuring a safe, secure, and compliant environment for over 1,800 employees. You'll lead safety and security initiatives across our food manufacturing complex and other facilities in Eastern North Carolina, driving continuous improvement and fostering a world-class safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead safety and security efforts for the Lewiston complex and surrounding field operations.
• Manage safety protocols for live production and non-manufacturing facilities.
• Oversee facility security, including managing the security team and implementing site security practices.
• Provide technical expertise and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe operations and compliance with regulations.
• Promote safety awareness and resolve safety issues through active workforce engagement.
• Develop and track safety business plans and KPIs, ensuring continuous improvement.
• Conduct thorough investigations of safety and security incidents, determining root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
• Serve as a member of the incident command team and respond to emergencies.
• Liaise with external auditors and inspectors, ensuring compliance and readiness.
• Build relationships with occupational health services to enhance worker safety and wellness.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Safety & Health, Industrial Health Management, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing safety management with multi-site responsibility.
• Proven track record of leading a world-class safety program with a TRIR of <2.0.
• Valid driver’s license and US passport.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.
• Ability to implement behavioral-based safety techniques.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and annual 8-hour refresher.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Bilingual in English, Spanish, or French is a plus.
• CSP or ABIH certification preferred.
