Navion is seeking a Regional Director of Clinical Services (RDCS) to plan, organize, and provide oversight and support to overall operations of clinical services in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, and guidelines to foster the highest degree of quality care across assigned Navion communities in North Carolina. This position assumes a primary role in ensuring that the communities are compliant with State and Federal Regulations. Candidates must reside in the state of NC.
Responsibilities
- Implements policies and procedures for Clinical Services in assigned communities. Monitors achievement of goals and objectives for the community clinical services departments consistent with established philosophy and standards of practice
- Monitors the implementation of current policies and procedures, which reflect adherence to corporate and external regulatory guidelines. Reviews new regulatory directives and implements changes as needed.
- Monitors Quality Improvement Process, Standards of Care, Clinical Indicator Reports, etc. and reports them to the Regional Director of Operations.
- Reviews and instigates resident complaints/Hotline Complaints as directed by the Regional Director of Operations. Ensures compliance with resident rights policies and works to resolve resident grievances.
- Conducts compliance and quality surveys at communities. Assist in coordinating actions plans to minimize liability and risks as a result of compliance surveys.
- Participates in State and Federal surveys and compliance investigations.
- Supports and follows up with communities in identifying trends and assists in the development of corrective action plans and troubleshooting resolutions. Reports findings of State and Federal surveys to the Regional Director of Operations.
- Gathers performance improvements indicators and survey data to identify trends. Develops Plans of Corrective Actions with the Regional Director of Operations, Executive Directors, and Director of Clinical Services.
- Schedules periodic site visits to provide supervision, clinical expertise, ensure communication, and to monitor the overall operation of the clinical services department. Conducts facility reviews based on operational needs, changes in management and commitment to regulatory compliance.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Provides supervision and guidance to community Executive Directors and Directors of Clinical Services as well as wellness staff and others as assigned to assure delivery of consistently high-quality care to residents. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Requirements
- RN , with a current license in the State of North and in good standing
- Five years previous management experience.
- Prior experience as a Director of Nursing. Preferred regional experience as well.
- Knowledgeable of standards of care and practices applicable to the delivery of geriatric services.
- Five to seven years’ experience in long-term care preferred
