Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer professional who will be instrumental in testing and validating middleware, microservices, database applications, and shared components within our software environment. This role requires a deep understanding of both business and technical components, with a strong emphasis on test planning, creation, execution, defect management, and project closure activities

Requirements

• Learn and understand the technical and business aspects of the application to lead testing projects effectively.
• Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases/scripts for API and software testing.
• Utilize test automation tools such as Parasoft SOATest, Tricentis TOSCA, and QTP/UFT to build testing frameworks and automate testing processes.
• Manage defects and ensure effective resolution and communication across cross-functional teams.
• Prepare and deliver comprehensive test cases, reports, and recommendations to address potential issues in IT systems and projects.
• Work collaboratively in an Agile environment, utilizing tools like Jira to manage project deliverables and stakeholder communication.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of software testing / API Testing experience.
• Proficiency in reviewing functional and design specifications to ensure understanding and delivery of testing project deliverables.
• Expertise with test management tools such as HP ALM/Quality Center/JIRA.
• Experience in testing Oracle PL/SQL, including validating stored procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work dynamically with minimal supervision.

Desired Skills:

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, QA, or an engineering equivalent.
• MS or other advanced degrees are nice to have.
• Experience with batch testing and Agile testing methodologies.
• Previous technology experience in the Financial Services industry, preferably in Wealth Management or customer impact areas.
