Full Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
A successful Quality Control Inspector shall perform a walkout on all construction job sites to ensure the scope of work performed is within the standards required by the customer. An ideal candidate will possess a working knowledge of telecommunication construction, the ability to interpret maps/work prints, and be proficient in the use of the latest industry-related technologies. Most importantly, a QC Inspector will possess the ability to identify and troubleshoot problems and be the on-site guidance for quality standards for GAC.
- Perform QC inspection of job sites and projects
- Review incident reporting of all damages and claims that occur on projects
- Update project progress on the company-provided app “Fieldwire”
- Coordinate with the Lead Supervisor on project progress
- Ensure that all construction sites comply with all state and regulatory agencies
- Enforce Safety, D.O.T and Traffic control compliance
- Enforce the quality standards set forth by GAC and Our customers
- Review and ensure paperwork required by the company is turned in accurately and promptly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Fieldwire)
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion
- Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Requirements
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED (Prefered)
- Associate degree preferred or three years of relevant work experience
- Experience in Department management and Supervisory role overseeing direct reports of 3+
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred but not required
- Valid Driver’s License (Required), CDL Class A or Class B (Preferred), DOT Med card (Prefered)
- OSHA10 & 30 Certifications (Preferred)
Workplace & Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be willing to travel to different job locations and regions
- Ability to perform the essential job functions safely and successfully
- Candidate must possess the ability to talk, listen and speak clearly on the telephone
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and crouch for extended periods
- Work is performed both inside and outside in all weather conditions, on rugged terrains, and active job sites
