Purpose of the Position:
Maintain the highest level of quality assurance to ensure merchandise meets or exceeds all purchase order requirements in a timely and efficient manner that assures the highest level of customer service exceeding customer expectations. Exemplify ability to multi-task in support of Merchandising Team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Exemplify the REEDS’ Mission and Core Business Values.
- Schedule and process all diamond, color, and gold merchandise in a timely and efficient manner ensuring that all merchandise is ordered, meets the spec sheets standards, and meets or exceeds the QC master sample.
- Maintain QC master items and sample merchandise inventory.
- Process trade-in, breakout, and scrap merchandise from the MRE department in a timely manner.
- Responsible for merchandise inspections to ensure accuracy of merchandise that meets or exceeds the parameters of the Quality Assurance Master or in the absence of a Quality Assurance Master, the purchase order.
- Responsible for the continual reduction of non-planned merchandise.
- Follow through on the Quality Assurance Rejection Procedure not limited to but including keying, updating, and requesting RA’s for rejected merchandise.
- Responsible for inventory in locations; 843, 845, 846, 847, 848, and 851.
- Process all products through Yehuda testing, verification, and vendor notification.
- Support the Merchandising Team with return of vendor samples as needed.
- Support the Merchandising Team with data entry, clerical support and servicing store needs as needed.
- Support Distribution, Ecommerce Fulfillment and/or other Reeds’ Departments on special projects, as needed.
- Conduct business affairs in a legal and ethical manner, building a socially conscious environment.

Requirements
Position Requirements:
- High School diploma or Equivalent
- Four Year College Degree Preferred
- Two years’ experience in Retail Jewelry/Quality Control Preferred
- Computer Proficient; Microsoft Office
- Ability to prioritize and organize tasks within a fast paced work environment.
- Exceptional and proven written, verbal, negotiating and communication skills.
- GIA AJP Certification required or completion required within six months of being placed in the position.
- GIA Diamond Grading Lab required or completion required within twelve months of being placed in the position.
