Full Job Description
PURPOSE: Support the project management business and other value add services by managing multiple aspects of each project.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain company processes and procedures to ensure customer satisfaction.
2. Take off Drawings for projects.
a. Generate a BOM based on drawings or BOM
b. Generate a proposal based on BOM
c. Track any changes during proposal phase
d. When awarded order, enter order in (ERP) Trend.
e. Maintain schedule for projects
f. Schedule and FAT that may be required by customer
g. Bill projects based on agreed term
h. Track order for profitability
3. Utilize company and vendor software to complete projects.
4. Based on drawings BOM develop materials list. Some quantities are not included and must be calculated based on panel drawing in addition to how material is sold.
5. Work with other ES&E personnel and vendor representatives for special pricing needed.
6. Submit proposal to/with Account Manager
7. Following the receipt of PO enter orders into our ERP (INFOR SXE). Detailed order with listed materials only to be used by the supplier/vendor and manage the pricing/billing to the end customer.
8. Follow other order entry and documentation requirements
9. Work with vendors to secure materials and have a strong understanding of inventory availability.
10. Maintain profit goals
11. Source materials and material cost.
12. Provide consistent feedback to customer regarding project status.
13. Regular and consistent attendance.
14. Enforce and comply with all Company policies and safety procedures.
Requirements
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be computer literate and have the manual dexterity to perform data entry quickly and accurately.
2. Comfortable working with very tedious information with strong attention to detail
3. Must have strong skills in Microsoft Office software specifically Excel and company programs.
4. Must be comfortable working on vendor websites with the ability to learn navigation of new sites.
5. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Ability to adjust to changing priorities.
7. Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings with minimum assistance
8. Ability to identify hardware components within a control system
9. Complete understanding of what PLC, VFD, circuit breakers, etc. are and what their roles are in the control system.
10. Must have a strong understanding of electrical products and in what quantities/lengths these products are sold.
11. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with vendors and internal customers.
12. Must be able to deal with steady interruptions that include phone calls, emails, and employee questions.
13. Must have good organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple priorities.
14. Education: Minimum level: High School Diploma.
15. Experience: Minimum amount: At least one year industry experience.
16. Must be able to use the following equipment: computer, calculator, copier, scanner, telephone, online price catalogs, and small office tools.
17. Position works primarily in an office environment, which may be noisy and/or distracting. Occasional offsite meetings for presentation, training, testing, etc.
