Full Job Description

At Coastline Wellness, we are seeking dedicated healthcare professionals to join our team. We are a small private medical practice with an opening for a part-time position (Tuesdays and Thursdays and possibly Wednesdays) as a Medical Assistant, w/ phemotony skills. More hours can be added as needed. As a part of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality healthcare services to our patients. Responsibilities:

  • Perform blood draws and collect other specimens for laboratory testing
  • Assist healthcare providers in clinical procedures with set up/clean up, charting patient vitals
  • Provide direct patient care and assist with medical procedures
  • Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety at all times
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records and assist with charting
  • Use autoclave to sterilize tools for procedures and keep auto clave clean and maintained
  • Follow all safety and infection control protocols
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Excellent customer service in verbal communication, telephone calls and messaging center.
  • Complete prior authorizations on CoverMyMeds, Chart Medication Tracking Logs and Respond to pharmacy inquiries to both pharmacy and patients
  • Assist with administrative duties not limited to answering phones to support patient medication refills, scheduling appointments etc.
  • Maintain an organized and clean, sterile back of the house at all times and before leaving at the end of the day.

Requirements

  • Valid training, certification and experience in phlebotomy
  • Medical Assistant: Certification as a Medical Assistant and/or knowledge of clinical procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations
  • Arrive on time for work, work required hours, work with integrity and attention to details.

Benefits

Benefits and salary based on education and experience and will be discussed in interview. Starting at $19.00 hourly.
