Maintenance Technician, Extrusion- Pineville, NC

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Extrusion machinery and facility maintenance in the plant. These maintenance activities are to be conducted while ensuring and improving safety, product quality, production output, housekeeping and cost control to achieve plant goals.

• Must provide own hand tools required for an industrial maintenance technician except for equipment in the first week of employment.
• Must be highly motivated.
• Must be highly mechanically inclined.
• Perform daily shop inspections and 5S activities.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Requires ability to repair and maintain all plant equipment and diagnose operational problems in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical phases with instruction or supervision.

Requirements

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Completion of high school education or equivalent.
• Must have the ability to read, write and do advanced mathematics.
• Forklift experience is preferred.
• Previous maintenance experience is required.
• Requires adequate fabrication/millwright/mechanical hand tools.
• Have an understanding of all procedures and instructions as required by ANSI/ASQC A9002.

Working Conditions

• Requires a high degree of mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, reaching, twisting, bending, climbing, and lifting to 50-75 lbs.
• Fast-paced environment where a considerable amount of sensory attention is required.
• Personal safety is affected by exposure to heat or cold, dust, noise levels and the use of equipment such as sharp tools.
